The 65 year-old native Missourian lives in St. Charles
County, MO with his wife Shawna. They have five grown children and nine
grandchildren. Almany spent 26 years as a high school basketball and track and
field coach and five years coaching on the collegiate level. He was an athletic
director for 12 years and a building principal for 13 years. As a head
basketball coach his teams compiled an overall winning percentage of .737. His
teams won 17 Conference titles, 10 district championships, finished in the
state top four 3 times and claimed one state title. His basketball camps
attract over 10,000 participants a year.
